Episode 25: Stacey Knopp

staceykMeet Stacey Knopp, the woman behind yegwed, a beautful and fascinating blog that matches awesome Edmonton couples with great wedding vendors.

Confession time: I never thought I’d fall for a wedding blog. I’ve been married for a long time, I’m not planning on getting married again, and my kids are a long way from theirs. But Stacey drew me in with her real weddings posts and her dedication to shining a light on local businesses that serve people who are getting hitched.

As you’ll hear in the podcast, Stacey has been a blogger for a long time, but she really hit on something when she decided to marry (sorry) her love of writing to the connections she was making through her wedding DJ company, PopJukebox. She is very thoughtful about entrepreneurship, and she writes with her audience in mind, which is why the blog is so good.

You can follow @yegwed on Twitter and Instagram, and Yeg Wed on Facebook.

You can also get the podcast on SoundCloud, in iTunes, or on Stitcher.

Here are the blogs and Instagram accounts Stacey recommended:

She also mentioned three Edmonton fashion blogs that kept her in touch with what was going on at home when she lived in New Zealand: Dress Me DearlyMarie a la Mode and Ordinary People.
